What will happen if I don’t have my ECU retuned/remapped?
The vehicle will still operate and drive with no noticeable changes, however you will eventually experience a check engine light with fault code P0400 – Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction.
Can I use a plug-in style “EGR Cable or Harness/Module” sold elsewhere with this kit?
No, these do not function on the 1KD Toyota Engines.
